Photo Restoration

This was a more complex project.  It had several steps to repair, add, remove, etc. elements to reach a finished photo.  The photo restoration began by piecing together multiple images.

This photo was received as 4 separate scanned images.    The original image was approximately 2-foot squared, so it could not be scanned as a single image.  These images had put together with the proper sizing so that all of the different images matched when reconstructed with photo restoration techniques. 

The second problem was the condition of the original images.  The photo was in poor condition, and required many photo touch ups and a lot of photo restoration.  Fortunately it is possible to fix old photos with the help of digital image technology.  When left in the hands of a skilled technician these types of photo repairs can bring great improvements to the condition of the image.

Once the extensive photo restoration, and reconstruction were completed it was then possible to accomplish other techniques with the photo.  It could be printed as is, or the image could be placed on a different background to complete the restoration.

This type of photo restoration makes an ideal personalized photo gift.  They work as 50th Wedding Anniversary gifts, or as a gift for somebody that is interested in tracing family history.
