Some scenes would be nearly impossible to stage.  If they did happen on their own, the chances that you would have your camera at the ready are very slim.  That was the situation with this collage.

The customer wanted a whimsical collage of two beloved pets.  The image in mind was the bird from one photo perched on the head of the dog in the other photo.  This is not a shot that could have been easily staged.  The solution was to take the photos of the two pets and have them digitally altered to appear together in a single photo.

The photos were scanned into a digital format, and then the backgrounds were removed, leaving only the separate images of the bird and the dog.  The photos were then resized so that the two pets were in the proper proportion to each other. 

After that minor image enhancement was completed the image of the bird was placed so it appeared on the dogs head.  These images were then placed on a decorative background for the finished photo.

Projects like this make  fun personalised photo gifts and would be great for the pet owner, children that have moved away from home for school or to start a life of their own, or any pet lovers.
