There were several interesting image enhancements that were done with this photo that you could consider for your own photo gifts.  Any of them would work alone, but together they can create a very nice image.

Memorable photo gifts are about showing the person receiving the gift that you thought about them, and did not just grab a gift from the store shelf.  Photos work wonderfully for that reason because a photograph is so personal.

This was an older photo that was showing its age.  The discolourations and fading were repaired, and colour was added to highlight certain areas of the photo.  A touch of red on the lips and a bit of green on the flower leaves add interest without having the entire photo converted from black and white to colour.

The image was then placed on a white background with lighting and shading highlights to add even more interest.  The final step was to add a short message in a decorative script to finish the personalization. 

Photo gifts are a great way to let a person know that they were on your mind.  You will be giving something that will be remembered and enjoyed for years to come.  Instead of allowing photos to remain trapped in an album that has been stored away, you can enhance the photos in a way that will make the person receiving the photo want to display it for everyone to see.
