Many people are of the belief that once the photo is snapped there is nothing more that can be accomplished.  This is far from the truth.  This project is an example of the type of digital restoration that can be accomplished with any photograph in your collection.

These children’s photos were of brothers that were taken on two separate occasions.  The customer requested that the images of the two boys were placed facing each other.  This new image was then to be placed on a different background.  In this case, the customer was provided with three different backgrounds to choose from.

The digital restoration project began with the images being scanned into a digital format.  From there it is a simple procedure to remove the background image.  Once that was accomplished one of the images needed to be reversed.  In this case the image of the boy in the first photograph was reversed.  When the two images were combined the photo showed the tow brothers facing each other. 

At that point the image could be placed on whatever background the customer desired to complete the photograph.  The photo could then be printed and hung in the home, or give as a personalised photo gift.
